Out of Africa Campaign

Out of Africa Campaign

The Out of Africa Campaign project  was funded National Lottery Heritage Fund. As part of the project, Centre Spot with the help of young volunteers have created a  School’s Pack designed for teachers, and packed with activities that suitably link across many strands of the National Curriculum, at Key Stage 2 and 3.

References to the statutory and non statutory requirements of a number of subjects, such as English, Geography, History and PSHE have been made so that aspects of the Out of Africa pack can be easily built into the curriculum planning.

Playground Games

Playground Games

Centre Spot was awarded a Heritage Lottery grant to explore the origins of the playground games children played in the last century. Looking into what games they were, the rules, who played them, and how they were played.

With the help of young volunteers from local primary schools, we have created resources for primary schools in the form of educational workbooks and a DVD that will help bring back playground games into our schools and communities.
